Humble Heroes: Sarah-Jane

Meet humble hero Sarah-Jane. Sarah-Jane is a Dutch soul singer who is making quite a name for herself. Sarah-Jane grew up with Caribbean and soul music and uses her background within her own music. She is well known for her dynamic style, her powerful voice and her sparkling personality.

Sarah-Jane started off as background singer where she gained a lot of experience working for amazing artists such as Glennis Grace, Sabrina Starke, Rita Marley, Berget Lewis and many more. Now she is working on her own music mainly.

Two times in a row she played the famous ‘North Sea Jazz Festival’ and had a couple appearances on national television. She won the Amsterdamse Popprijs in 2015 and was nominated for two NPO Radio 6 soul&jazz Awards (Best Female Artist & Best single – “Letter To the Moon”). Autumn 2017 she toured with Billy Ocean through the Benelux and toured with her own clubtour ‘Black magic’ where she also played in the Netherlands a couple of times.
