Humble Heroes: Pieteke Dik
Session with Dutch bass player Pieteke Dik.
Pieteke Dik, born in the Netherlands, is a much sought-after bassist. From an early age she was drawn to music, discovering her true passion for the bass. She is known for her sound, groove and technique, influenced by jazz, funk, rock, and classical music. She studied bass at Codarts in Rotterdam where she took classes from Marco Dirne en Michel van Schie.
You might know Pieteke from her collaborations with Yori, Philine and Froukje. She played almost any big stage you could imagine in The Netherlands, multiple times. Pieteke also played together with musicians such as Jasper Samsom, Yvette Terpstra, David Hoogerheide, Benny Bakker, Len van de Laak, Pepijn van der Burgt and Willem van der Krabben.
We hope you enjoy Pieteke’s session!
